Also, their social services people were helping me to get additional aid at home for home care and possibly get Medicaid. I received physical therapy and occupational therapy, and I left there feeling that I was in better shape than when I went in. They did not say, "OK, it's time to go and do this " instead they would say, "Would you like to do this?" and that courteousness was shown in all that they did. One of my first observations was that the staff was courteous. I was at Seashore Gardens Living Center for rehab, and I was pleased with the time that I spent there. ![]() The therapist would come in and play games with you while they were doing the therapy, but as far as things to do in between therapy sessions, there was pretty much just a television and whatever you bring with you, like a book or something like that. At one point, I heard somebody playing the piano, and a bunch of people were getting together for that. There's also a gift shop and a park with an aviary. They have an area called the boardwalk, which has been closed for a while because of the pandemic, and it's a place where you can get some takeout food. ![]() Occasionally, I would have a service to take me outside to do therapy if the weather was nice. Kate I was at Seashore Gardens Living Center for rehab, and I was pleased with the time that I spent there. All-around an excellent environment for loved-ones and family who need the extra help. The nurses are compassionate with family members as well. Even-though it was around Dinner time when I last visited, there were no unpleasant aromas, really no odors at all, which is just how I like it!Įveryone that I have visited at Seashore Gardens has been cared-for respectfully and appropriately from what I observed. Sea Shore Gardens passed that test with flying colors. When I walk into any type of institutional setting, but especially one where care is given to senior citizens, the 1st thing that I notice are the smells. My main criteria for this type of place is the "smell test". I probably should have given 5-stars, but I'm being a little stingy with the stars because there is always room for improvement. I have also visited other local places, and this one ranks with the best. Martina A I have visited more than one person who has resided here.
